History of Toyota Voxy 2.0X Welcab (7 Seater)

The Voxy replaced the Liteace Noah and Townace Noah lines, which were discontinued except for wagons, and was launched in November 2001. The Voxy continued the legacy of the Liteace, which was responsible for Japan’s 1-box wagon boom, but it also embodied a new generation of minivans. The Noah, the Voxy’s twin, was sold via a separate channel. The Voxy was built on a brand new front-engine, front-wheel-drive (FF) platform. The interior was spacious due to a low, flat floor, while the body size was kept within the limits of the tiny “5 number” category. The three rows of seats could hold up to eight people, and both sides of the vehicle had rear sliding doors.

On August 10, 2017, the facelifted third-generation Toyota Voxy was launched at the 25th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. It was assembled locally and imported from Japan. The exportation of the Toyota Voxy began in Indonesia in July 2017. It was only offered in one trim, equivalent to the Japanese ZS trim. The start-stop system engine was also used for the first time to increase its fuel efficiency. It is also the first one-touch sliding door car made by Toyota.  

The Toyota Voxy received the T-Connect services of Toyota, including a 10-inch infotainment display, full navigation system, ETC unit, online services, wireless phone charger, and rear parking camera guidelines.
