History of Toyota Noah 1.8X Hybrid (New Facelift)
Automakers started to recognise the need for a multi-purpose multi-passenger vehicle (MPV) as early as the 1930s. Earlier designs attempt to resemble pick-up trucks and lacked the car-like handling that customers desired. Toyota picked up the opportunity and began manufacturing bigger cars, constantly modifying them to keep up with the market’s ever-changing whims.
In 2001, they eventually released the Toyota Noah, a minivan that has remained new and appealing throughput its three generations. Toyota Noah’s success and development in the Asian market have spread to other parts of the world. The Toyota Noah replaces the Toyota LiteAce, a reliable delivery vehicle that has been in production since 1970, with an improved and more passenger-friendly variant. Toyota engineers redesigned this freestanding delivery van to cater to families requiring the space of a van but the manoeuvrability of a sedan. They chose Toyota Noah to bridge the difference between the Toyota Sienta and the upscale Toyota Alphard in terms of functionality.
Engineers were tasked with designing a compact MPV that could accommodate between five and eight passengers while also providing plenty of cargo room and excellent fuel economy during the Toyota Noah’s development process. They have wanted to make it a low-emission and high-safe car. Right from the start, the Toyota Noah delivered on every front.
For the 2014 model year, Toyota redesigned the Noah, giving it a cleaner, more intense appearance. Never content with only styling, Toyota expanded Noah’s cabin size once again, making it the most spacious of any Toyota MPV. The engine has been upgraded to have an idle-stop feature, which increases fuel economy to 16.0 km/L. For families, the new generation Noah has a lower deck and base and revolving flip seats in the second row. This arrangement makes it simple for parents to buckle their babies into car seats and for the elderly and minor children to enter and leave the Noah.
The Toyota Noah rapidly gained popularity in the Asian market due to its suitable location between the Sienta and the Alphard and its versatility. Toyota started to sell it to the global market as its success increased. It has been well-known in many of the markets where it has been launched for its modern architecture, safety, fuel efficiency, and low price.
