Porsche has a new member in its Cayenne family. An even sportier model has been added to the third generation of this highly successful SUV line-up – the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
The highlights of the new Cayenne Coupe include sharper lines with a distinctive rear section, an adaptive rear spoiler, a rear-seat configuration with the characteristics of two individual seats, and two different roof concepts – a panoramic fixed glass roof (fitted as standard) and the optional carbon fibre roof.
The significantly steeper roofline, which falls away towards the rear, makes the new Cayenne Coupe look even more dynamic. That effect is supported by a roof spoiler, which accentuates the distinctive Coupe silhouette. The front windscreen and A-pillars are shallower than in the Cayenne while redesigned rear doors and fenders broaden the shoulders of the Cayenne Coupe (by 18 mm) to create an overall muscular impression.
The new Porsche Cayenne Coupe offers plenty of space for up to four people as standard, courtesy of a rear bench that has the characteristics of two individual seats. Rear passengers sit 30 mm lower than in the Cayenne, meaning there is plenty of headroom despite the sportier, lowered silhouette.
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe is powered by the German sports car brand’s turbocharged 3-litre V6 engine. With 335 hp and 450 Nm available, the benchmark century sprint is completed in 6 seconds flat while maximum speed is 240 km/h. Even with such prodigious performance on tap, the adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) handles all driving situations with aplomb.
On top of all that’s mentioned, our new Porsche Cayenne Coupe is equipped with LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Comfort front seats with 14-way electrical adjustability, instrument cluster with two high-res displays, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), navigation via Apple CarPlay, BOSE Surround Sound System and gorgeous (optional) 21-inch RS Spyder design alloy wheels including wheel arch extensions.
