History of Mercedes-Benz EQE300 AMG Premium

The Mercedes-Benz EQE is a battery-powered electric car from the Mercedes-Benz Group. It was unveiled at the 2021 Munich Motor Show as part of the growing Mercedes-EQ family.

At launch, the EQE350 was the only model available with a peak output of 288 hp. The basic entry-level model, the EQE300, was revealed in July 2022 with 245 hp and 565 Nm of torque.

The front end of the car strongly resembled that of the EQS with a closed, black panel grille instead of the typical grille flanked by LED headlights. The rising front was continued by a curved greenhouse ending with angled C-pillars and rear windows.

Mercedes also added a functional ventilation grille to cool the batteries and other electronic components located on the underside of the bumper. The brand also offered rear or all-wheel drive with permanent magnet motors, in addition to optional rear-axle steering.

The EQE range also has a sci-fi cockpit with three large displays on the dashboard, one for the instrument cluster, a touchscreen for the centre console and a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the front passenger. It also comes with a second storage space under the centre console, as no transmission tunnel or gearbox has been installed there.

The new EQE was launched in China in Q3 of this year and achieved 3,500 sales worldwide, accounting for 10% of Mercedes’ total electric vehicle sales.
