Exterior
The all-new 2020 Mercedes A35 4MATIC AMG is the ideal introduction to the world of AMG Driving Performance as a performance hatchback. Mercedes-AMG made an unequivocal design statement with its radiator grille, front spoiler with air intake flicks, front splitter, and a myriad of other features.
The AMG bodystyling includes AMG-specific radiator grille, AMG lettering, and the AMG front apron with unique flicks as air deflectors on the outer air intakes. The AMG rear apron with a specific diffuser looks with four vertical fins and round tailpipe trim elements measuring 90 mm in diameter on the left and right.
Meanwhile, the AMG Aerodynamics package offers a derived feature from the wind tunnel. This means that handling at high speeds improved; thus, providing even greater driving enjoyment. The detachable body parts increase the opposing lift force.
The fixed AMG rear aerofoil demonstrates a clear commitment to uncompromising performance. Raring to go on any road!
Comfort Features
Moreover, instead of the standard rubber bushings, the Mercedes A35 4Matic AMG includes improved features such as front wishbones, a rigidly mounted rear axle, and uniballs.
It also has five driving modes with an additional one labeled “Slippery”; the front axle has four-piston brakes with 350mm discs, special optional adaptive dampers, and an active sports exhaust sounds very good at its noisiest setting.
Adding to many of its features is the Comfort mode, which pauses the power delivery when some extra momentum is requested through the accelerator pedal’s nudge.
Technology
The latest A-Class’s high-tech cabin also creates admiration from the crown – headlined by a dual wide-format 10.25-inch display, which occupies more than half the dash with the MBUX infotainment assistant, activates by saying, “Hey Mercedes!”. Now that is some excellent feature!
Engine and Performance
It has all-wheel drive as standard. The power is fully variable from only the front wheels to a 50:50 distribution between the front and rear axle, thus enabling optimum traction with a thrilling driving experience. The acceleration potential at all speeds that the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch gearbox offers provides that extra kick!
