History of Audi RS3 Saloon Vorsprung 

The Audi RS3 is a series of high-performance versions of certain car models produced by the German car manufacturer Audi AG. This model was developed to primarily offer enhanced sporty performance.

Translated as “racing sport”, these RS models are referred to as the supercar class. All “RS” cars pioneer some of Audi’s latest and most advanced technologies and engineering achievements. 

The RS3 was first announced as a newborn in November 2010 and kicked off the first generation of the new range. It was only produced as a 5-door variant with a Sportback edition. Its front and rear sections together with the wider body and flared wheel arches give it a look all of its own. This first-generation RS3 is powered by a 2.5 TFSI Quattro 7AT engine that produces 340 hp and 332 Nm of torque. 

The second-generation RS3, unveiled in 2015, shares the same genetic resemblance as its ancestor but presents itself with a new attitude. Audi design teams and engineers gave the 2015 RS3 a wider track, a new throaty exhaust and a stiffer chassis. 

The third-generation RS3 was launched in 2017 with new wheels, new bumpers and a host of new colours – still in its original compact hatchback form. A new, modernised look and new interior design delighted drivers and passengers alike, as did the familiar 2.5-litre in-line engine, which received a makeover that gave it thirty-three extra horses, outperforming its older sibling.

The latest generation RS3 was announced in the late months of 2021 as the most powerful and dynamic RS3 with smarter and more responsive performance than ever. It features a wide stance and widened front wings with larger and more aggressive front air intakes.
