Offering an electric drive, premium styling, and a well-kept cabin, the new Audi e-tron 55 Quattro redefines the pure electric segment with its distinct Audi DNA. Underneath, it bears the heavily modified version of the MLB Evo platform, resulting in a modestly impressive ride.
It also launches with a solitary powertrain, comprising a twin electric motor, which generates 300 kW (408 PS) and 664 Nm of torque. Mated to the Quattro all-wheel-drive system, the e-tron seamlessly glides through rough surfaces, equating to more driving pleasure. This fully electric SUV can run from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 200 km/h.
With its latest electric four-wheel drive, the Audi e-tron 55 Quattro offers every passenger onboard premium comfort and a high level of accessibility, much like a full-size Audi SUV. Enjoy every adventure you take with it, whether off-road or on a city street.
Special Features of the Audi e-tron 55 Quattro
Boot Space with Power Tailgate
Courtesy of the e-tron’s large wheelbase, there is plenty of space in the cabin that can comfortably accommodate five passengers with luggage.
The 660-litre luggage compartment is enough to give room for your large items when taking longer trips, while the 60-litre extra storage can hold the car’s toolkit and mobile charging cable.
It comes with a power tailgate for easy loading in the rear compartment that enables you to easily lift the tailgate by pressing the button on your key fob.
Power Panoramic Sunroof
Just press a button on the dashboard, and you can experience an airy and sense of openness inside the cabin.
The Audi e-tron comes equipped with a power panoramic sunroof that lets in more light inside the cabin, providing a relaxed ride wherever you go for an adventure.
Four-zone Automatic Climate Control System
This five-seater electric SUV also comes with a four-zone automatic climate control system, replacing the standard dual-zone air conditioning for a more improved temperature inside the cabin.
It improves the cabin’s air quality by ionizing and perfuming the air with a gradually selectable intensity. Rear passengers can also adjust their temperature in the rear through the infotainment screen.
Full LED Headlamps with High Beam Assist
The full LED headlamps are incorporated with a high-beam assist for increased safety in driving, especially at night.
This safety feature uses a camera mounted on the interior mirror, which detects light sources such as headlights of oncoming vehicles.
It automatically switches on the headlights to low beam from a high beam and back to prevent the other driver from being dazzled.
20-inch 5-double Spoke Wheels
Sporting a new set of wheels, the e-tron features 20-inch 5-double spoke wheels that can withstand this electric SUV’s overall weight.
These turbine design bi-colour wheels blend in with its bodystyling, giving it a sportier and dynamic look.
Heated Front Seats
Experience a premium feel in the cabin as it comes with heated front seats. These seats improve your driving relaxation as you go on a long adventure.
You can simply press the button to enjoy the heating function of the leather-wrapped front seats.
Interior of the Audi e-tron 55 Quattro
The interior e-tron defines the all-electric luxury of Audi, from a variety of stylish natural wood inlays and accents to the premium stitching and ergonomic design of the instruments.
It features high-quality leather equipment such as heated front seats and a 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel.
Enjoy your everyday driving as this electric SUV also comes with innovative high-resolution displays to help you drive efficiently.
Showcasing a brighter cabin space, the interior lighting enables you to experience a new level of visibility and pleasant ambience.
This feature provides excellent illumination to the door sills, centre console and along the dashboard lines as soon as you enter the e-tron’s cabin.
Leather-wrapped Multifunction Steering Wheel
The new Audi e-tron features a heated leather-wrapped four-spoke multifunction steering wheel. This steering wheel comes with shift paddles that allow you to shift the gears with your thumb manually.
It also has hands-on detection that supports assisted driving functions with steering intervention and creates added safety when changing lanes, swerving, and parking.
This new electric SUV enables you to experience more luxury with the storage package.
It comprises one cup holder under the centre armrest, a folding compartment at the driver’s side, a storage compartment in the partition to the luggage compartment.
There are also storage nets in the front passenger’s footwell, rear seat backrests, clothes hooks on the roll bar, and tensioning straps in the luggage compartment.
Virtual Instrument Panel
Showcasing maximum convenience in driving, a virtual instrument panel upfront helps you drive efficiently and be in one with your car.
This feature gives you all the essential information and specific functions of the vehicle in front of your eyes, synch as battery level, remaining range, driving time and distance travelled.
Audi MMI Plus with Navigation System
This compact electric SUV comes with an Audi MMI plus that includes an Audi virtual cockpit, 11.6-inch display, a WiFi hotspot for passenger devices, and Audi’s essential services connect, such as Navigation & Infotainment.
The Audi MMI plus is also equipped with online traffic information supported by the navigation system that gives the driver destination suggestions and provides lane-specific details on the traffic flow.
Exterior of the Audi e-tron 55 Quattro
The new Audi e-tron features an iconic design with a singular style that embraces everyday driving.
It comes with an aerodynamically optimised design with a low drag coefficient of 0.30, helping you get the most out of every charge.
From the headlights to the taillights, a fold line extends sideways that helps to lower its centre of gravity. The roof lies visually low on the powerful body and is complemented by its D-pillars and bottom guards.
Horizontally designed, the LED taillights continue the distinctive shoulder line that runs around the car, creating a harmonious look.
These taillights come with a three-dimensional design that gives them a sculpted look to contribute to the overall design of the e-tron.
The new Audi e-tron features a hexagonal single-frame grille with vertical stripes that characterizes an Audi SUV. Its grille and its housing consist of platinum halls, indicating that electrified character.
The front profile is complemented by the four horizontal bars at the bottom of the LED headlight block that forms its specific daylight signature.
This particular signature is directed into the headlight and another exclusive design element of the all-electric drive system.
Parking System Plus
Aiding you while parking in tight spaces, the parking system plus uses acoustic signals and graphic display with increasing frequency as you approach an obstacle.
It informs visually and audibly about objects in front and behind your vehicle. A warning tone will alarm continuously when the car is less than approximately 0.30m away from the obstacle.
Aluminium Roof Rails
Adding cargo space, these aluminium roof rails are helpful when you want to carry oversize equipment on an adventure.
Their aerodynamic design provides barely a whisper of wind noise compared to their steel equivalents. These aluminium roof rails are also rust-resistant so that you can use them in all weathers.
Adaptive Air suspension with Three-chamber Sport Technology
The adaptive air suspension provides the e-tron with smooth ride comfort and sporty handling. It sets the body’s height at different levels depending on the vehicle’s speed and driver’s preference.
The adaptive air suspension is matched with the three-chamber sports technology to give an even more effective variation between comfort, sport and off-road setting.

History of Audi e-tron 55 Quattro
The Audi e-tron is an all-electric, midsize luxury crossover produced by Audi. It was unveiled as a concept car at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and was Audi’s first electric mass-production car. The Audi e-tron was first delivered in May 2019 with an EPA range of 222 miles in the updated model.
It was based on the e-tron Quattro concept revealed on September 17, 2018, in San Francisco and publicly debuted at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. Its certification in Germany by the KBA was not claimed until changes were made to its software. As a result, in January 2019, market deliveries for the United States were due to commence in June. In February 2020, Audi paused the e-tron’s production due to supply chain problems. It even includes issues with an adequate supply of batteries for the e-tron, but the production resumed in early May.
The Audi e-tron is powered by a 95 kWh battery pack with a usable 86.5 kWh battery. Using 150 kW DC fast-chargers, it can be charged from 0-80 percent in around 30 minutes. An optional 22 kW charger halves the time of home charging in the EU, with a standard 11 kW charger recharges the pack in 8.5 hours.
It features 12-way heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic moonroof, and 20-inch wheels as standard. However, with some upgrades, it comes with massage seats, power door closers, leather upholstery, 21inch wheels and orange brake callipers. The interior is in line with other Audi models with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, a smaller 8.6-inch touchscreen display, Amazon Alexa voice control, Virtual Cockpit System and an optional Head-up display.
The Audi e-tron is the second production car to offer optional virtual side mirrors. It replaces the traditional side-view mirrors and uses cameras to transmit images to a high-contrast 7-inch OLED embedded in the door panels. A Bang & Olufsen sound system and an available Driver assistance package with enhanced adaptive cruise control, automatic parking assist and night vision are also included.
The e-tron logo appears in the final sequence of Iron Man 3. However, the car was not shown because it had not yet been publicly announced as a concept. It also made a cameo in an Audi commercial for Avengers: Endgame but didn’t appear in the film. Later, the e-Tron made an appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home, when it was used by Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders’ characters.
Since its production started in 2019, the Audi e-tron was made available in Australia, Pakistan, Thailand, Canada, Mexico, and the United States in the following year.
