First registered 01/ 09/ 1986 with 7 owners from new. Technical inspection can be dated back to 1990.
A huge amount of recent expenditure of over S$20,000 including the following work:
Documented engine rebuild work in 2004 circa 112, 000 miles when technicians replaced the pistons, rings, valve guides, big end bearing, polished crank and bored block.
Professionally resprayed a couple of years ago keeping to its original colour cream white (9001). Any necessary welding has been taken care of making this a solid Wagon. Professional welding/ repairs to areas such as inner wings, cills, rear valance, outrigger/ body mounts, underneath and all cavities have been cleaned down, painted where necessary and then wax oil protected.
Last year service was carried out with change of the engine and gearbox oils. Various welding repairs were also carried out before replacing the gear linkage bushes, nearside track rod end gaiter and mudflaps, along with various minor components and trim pieces. Additional service work completed such as, track rod end gaiters, new light guards, window regulator handles, adjust steering box, new hi/ lo gaitor and knobs, new gear stick gaitor, bumper end caps, new o/ s and n/ s wing mirrors, new door seals, and tail gate seal, new rear light lenses, new wiper linkages, Fuel tank repair, leak test, paint seal, brakes serviced, all electrics checked and rewired where necessary and an engine carbon clean.
All interior has been extensively soundproofed and all seats, door cards new foams, professionally re-trimmed to a high standard in luxury tan/ biscuit leather, refurbished steering wheel stitched in leather, over mats and carpet set are all either new or in great condition as are all plastic trims, dash etc. Inside the cabin has a lovely luxurious feel to it and a cool upgrade to the old cloth interior.
All gears work well and change easily and the transfer selection box appears to work as it should. Rear diff lock doesn’t engage but fronts do.
There’s no knocks from the suspension and the power assisted steering is light and precise with good road manners.
History file and MOT’s shows documented mileage throughout it’s life and is now showing 157600 miles.
