The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport!
Three years after the premiere of the first-generation model, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport comes in two versions ex-works for the first time. The “Trackday” model for ambitious amateur racing drivers and the “Competition” variant for national and international motor racing.
The model is the first-ever production race car to feature body parts made of natural-fiber composite material. The doors and the rear wing are made out of an organic fiber mix. Sourced primarily from agricultural by-products such as flax or hemp fibers. The material is similar to carbon fiber in terms of weight and stiffness.
A 3.8-liter flat-6 engine producing 425 hp powers the 718 Cayman GT4. Along with six gears and a mechanical rear axle differential lock. The 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport also sports a lightweight spring-strut front suspension (taken from the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup). And impressive racing brake system with steel brake rotors all round (380 mm).
The lightweight race machine delivered ex-works with a welded-in safety cage, a racing bucket seat as well as a six-point harness. This weighs 1320 kg.
Prices start from 134,000 Euros. Anyone keen to go racing?
