The new Toyota Sienta sports a slight makeover and this is unsurprising as the outgoing model of the highly popular compact MPV. Still looks fresh and modern.
The most noticeable changes are found in the front. With the latest model sporting an all-new grille which is understated yet hard to miss.
Partially framed by the shiny trim that contrasts beautifully with its black, synthetic center. The new grille makes the Sienta instantly recognizable.
Also changed are the black, golf club-shaped, synthetic mouldings which extend from the headlights.
We have one trim level and two variants available – 1.5 G petrol and 1.5 G petrol hybrid. Both utilise the same 1.5-litre in-line 4-cylinder engine mated to Toyota’s highly efficient E-CVT gearbox but with different outputs.
Both variants feature electrically-operated, sliding rear doors for easy entry and egress, even in tight spaces, and a long list of standard features. Hence, either will be ideal for the frugal family man (or woman) who needs a ride with seven seats, an up-and-coming executive who wants a car with low depreciation or the ride share driver who requires a spacious yet fuel-efficient people carrier.
