Get Ready for the new Mercedes-Benz A180 AMG Executive

Visually impressive and with loads of advanced tech, the new Mercedes-Benz A180 AMG Executive stands out among the compact luxury hatchback segment.

This range-topping AMG Executive Line features 18-inch titanium grey AMG alloy wheels and the AMG bodystyling that is now more noticeable with its longer wheelbase.

It also wears the slim LED High-Performance headlamps that give a sportier look for this family car. The new A180 AMG Executive gets an energetic-sounding 1.3-liter petrol engine that produces 136 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque.

This A-Class family hatchback also achieves 0-100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 215 km/h. Step inside the A180 AMG Executive and you’re greeted with a minimalist-looking, tech-filled, luxurious cabin covered in premium leather.

One of the highlights of the A-Class is the latest MBUX multimedia system pin-sharp modern widescreen displays. The 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel is trimmed in leather with a flattened bottom section, which makes way for generous leg-room for the driver.

The turbine-style air vents surrounded in silver chrome also complete the look and feel of the interior. The new A180 AMG Executive provides more comfort and convenience with its integrated two-zone THERMOTRONIC luxury automatic climate control, Mercedes-Benz sound system, and smartphone integration that is compatible with both Apple and Android devices.

Promising a better driving experience than its predecessor, this new A-Class family hatchback boasts a wide range of safety features. From the active bonnet and active lane-keeping assist to the ESP Curve Dynamic Assist, Mercedes made sure that safety is first. Other sets of safety features include childproof locks, airbags located in key areas, electric parking brake, ESP, and more.

Introducing… (drum roll)… the all-new Mercedes-Benz A200 AMG Premium Sedan!

And speaking of “first”, VINCAR is the first to offer this highly competent, four-door sedan in Singapore!

As it shares the same, front-wheel drive MFA2 (Modular Front Architecture) platform as the A-Class Hatchback. The wheelbase of both cars is 2729mm. However, as the A-Class Sedan has a proper boot with boot lid, it’s 130mm longer than its hatchback sibling.

Mercedes-Benz’s reason for creating the A-Class Sedan was simple. There was ample demand for a more practical alternative to the CLA-Class.

That’s not to say that the CLA-Class lacks practicality but as the new A-Class Sedan’s roof is less raked at the rear. It affords more headroom – especially important for taller passengers. In fact, the headroom for the new A-Class Sedan is comparable to that of the larger, C-Class Sedan!

Inside, the A-Class Sedan shares the same cabin design and features with A-Class Hatchback and CLA-Class Coupe. This means aerospace-inspired, turbine-look air vents, multi-color ambient lighting, and the fabulous Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system. With its dual 10.25-inch touchscreens and “Hey Mercedes” command which once used will allow you to request for assistance or information. It’s like chatting with a clever friend. Try “Hey Mercedes, it’s cold in here” or “Hey Mercedes, I’m hungry” and be amazed!

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan variant VINCAR is offering is the A200 AMG Premium.

Engine and Performance

Powered by a turbocharged 1.3-liter 4-cylinder powerplant. With 163 hp and 250 Nm, which is connected to a 7-speed 7G-DCT gearbox driving the front wheels, the sedan takes just 8 seconds to zoom from 0 to 100 km/h. Keep your right foot floored and watch the speedometer’s needle swing all the way to 225 km/h!

As it’s equipped with AMG Premium goodies, the car is adorned with AMG front and rear aprons. Diamond radiator grille with chrome pins and single louvre, 18-inch AMG five, twin-spoke lightweight alloy wheels. Also come with a multi-function sports steering wheel with a flattened bottom section, like the ones in racecars!
