What’s the difference between Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz?

While all Mercedes-Benz cars are impressive, some set bold new standards for performance and looks. Chief among these are the vehicles bearing the name AMG, a world-renowned mark of excellence.

If you’re looking for the best that Mercedes-Benz has to offer, it’s important to consider what sets AMG models apart.

AMG is short for Aufecht, Melcher, and Großaspach, the division of Mercedes-Benz that produces performance vehicles. Named after some of the most important engineers in the company’s history. This division creates vehicles with advanced engines, aerodynamic bodies, and high-speed capabilities.

Enhanced Engines: With the exception of 6-cylinder models, all of the engines produced by AMG are handcrafted. These devices have significantly higher horsepower and torque than the ones used in standard vehicles. A C63 AMG car, for example, has 457 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.2 s. By contrast, the standard Mercedes-Benz version of this model has 186 hp and takes 9.8 s to reach 100 km/h.

Improved Interiors: Designed to create a sportier aesthetic, AMG models make heavy use of carbon accents. They also have bucket seats and alcantara.

Exterior Optimisation. AMG models also have sportier exteriors compared to their standard counterparts, notably in that they feature larger alloy wheels.

Other Features. AMG versions have better suspension. Enjoy a closer fit between the transmission and the engine, and have sportier noise than standard versions.

Now, we show you the exquisite Black Leather cabin of this hot hatch. And share with you some of the key details of the features available.

It’s true performance as far as the eye can see! With the all-new Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system. And the design of the dashboard instruments in super-sport mode with a round and centrally located tachometer. The interior of the new Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC clearly distinguishes itself from all competitors.

An emotion-inducing design and an intuitive operating structure on two displays are combined to create a state-of-the-art widescreen cockpit. Also new are the independent and newly-created AMG center console. It is equipped with a touchpad and additional switches. With which to operate functions like the ESC, manual transmission mode, and adaptive adjustable suspension.

We present… drum roll… the all-new Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC with AMG Night Package! Now available for booking at VINCAR.

Mercedes-Benz uses “Instant Wow” as the maketing slogan for the new Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC and we can see why!

As a performance hatchback, the A35 4MATIC is the ideal introduction to the world of AMG Driving Performance. The radiator grille, front spoiler with air intake flics. The front splitter and myriad decorative elements specific to AMG make a very clear design statement: a Mercedes-AMG one.

Design… details, details, details!

Firstly, the AMG bodystyling with AMG-specific radiator grille and AMG lettering. AMG front apron with special flics as air deflectors on the outer air intakes.

Next up, is the AMG rear apron with a specific diffuser look. With four vertical fins and round tailpipe trim elements measuring 90 mm in diameter on the left and right.

Last but not least, the AMG Aerodynamics package. It has been developed in the wind tunnel to improve handling at high speeds and provides even greater driving enjoyment. The detachable body parts increase the negative lift force. The fixed AMG rear aerofoil demonstrates a clear commitment to uncompromising performance.

The new Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC is propelled by a newly-developed 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. With 306 hp and will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds!

With 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard. The power is full variable from only the front wheels to a 50:50 distribution between front and rear axles. Thus enabling optimum traction with thrilling driving experience. The acceleration potential at all speeds that the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch gearbox offers provides that extra kick!

The design of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class is young and modern and has even more emotional appeal after the model update: with more powerful front and rear aprons as well as attractive materials, colours and new light-alloy wheels.

The front module with its pronounced arrow shape and the distinctive diamond grille ensure a self-confident appearance and an energetic look. The radiator shroud is designed as a black diamond grille already in standard specification to boost the sporty character. At the rear, the LED taillights give the car a striking visual appearance and improve visibility.

The cabin was designed with a love of detail and features further enhanced exclusivity and sporty flair. The shapes, surfaces and materials go together to form a high-quality and harmonious whole. New high-quality trim elements adorn the area of the instrument panel and the new design of the instrument cluster with a colour multi-function display round out the high-quality interior of the A-Class.

The A180 AMG is propelled by a newly-developed 1595 cc 4-cylinder BlueEFFICIENCY engine with 122 hp and 200 Nm on tap. Mated to it is a 7-speed 7G-DCT transmission, 0-100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds while top speed is in excess of 200 km/h, very good for a 1.6-litre hatchback weighing 1.4 tonnes.

As the car is the AMG variant, it comes with modern goodies such as AMG aero bodystyling and AMG 18-inch alloy wheels.
