The track-only Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro hypercar was unveiled. It is by Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Christian Horner and Adrian Newey. Propelled by a hybrid V12 powertrain that develops in excess of 1100 bhp. And tipping the scales at 1000 kg. Surely, it comfortably exceeds the magic 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. That’s to say more than 1 bhp to propel every kilogram of mass.
Armed with all-new aerodynamics that generate more than 1000 kg of downforce, the AMR Pro is still capable of hitting 225 mph (362 km/h). Of far greater benefit to lap time is the car’s ability to achieve lateral acceleration in excess of 3G – a figure far beyond that of any other car derived from a fully homologated road car.
